HENDRY’S SUCCESS CONTINUES IN ABU DHABI

NOVEMBER 30TH 2011, ABU DHABI GOLF CLUB, ABU DHABI, (UAE) UAE based Junior and Abu Dhabi Golf Club Junior Open Champion Daniel Hendry  continued his remarkable run of recent form at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, by winning the Abu Dhabi Junior Open in Association with the Telegraph.

Having recently defending his Abu Dhabi Golf Club Junior Open crown and also lifting the prestigious Shk Rashid Trophy the previous week, Hendry entered the event, which consisted of 11 of the top Junior Golfers from the UK full of confidence. 

Trailing 1st and 2nd round leader Jimmy Mullen (Royal North Devon) by twos shot entering the final round, Daniel clawed Jimmy back during the final round and they ended up tied at the end of 54 holes of regulation play on 3under par 213.  The 1st three playoff holes were halved with Par 5 and Hendry managed to clinch victory by holing a clutch putt from 10ft for birdie to be crown champion on the 18th Green at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Daniel looks set to have a best season of his young career to date.
