KEEP WALKING SERIES 2011

03 OCTOBER 2011, ABU DHABI GOLF CLUB, ABU DHABI, (UAE):  On 28th September 2011, Abu Dhabi Golf Club hosted the Finals Day of the Keep Walking Series. After 26 weeks of Competition stretching back from April, it came to a three player shoot-out between Mike Larter, David De Angelo and Leon Pretorius.

Going into the final day, Leon had been leading the series for the past two months and holding off fierce competition from 2010 Keep Walking Series Champion David De Angelo. Vice Captain Mike Larter kept himself within striking distance of the leaders with consistent performances throughout the series. However there was to be a dramatic change in events in the Finals Day Strokeplay Competition where David De Angleo scored a respectable Net score of 37 to take 3rd place outright behind week 25 winner Be Williams. Leon could only follow up with a Net score of 39 to share 5th place on the night. This meant that on the final day David overtook Leon and managed to retain his title and become the 2011 Keep Walking Series Champion after taking victory by a narrow 1.5 points.
