NEW CAPTAINS ANNOUNCED AT CAPTAINS DAY 2011

OCTOBER 23rd 2011, ABU DHABI GOLF CLUB, ABU DHABI, (UAE): Abu Dhabi Golf Club introduced the new Men’s and Ladies Captains for the forthcoming season - Mike Larter and Pascale Michel with Ken Graham and Muriel Gosselin taking the roles of Vice-Captains for the forthcoming season. To mark the beginning of their captaincies, the club held the inaugural “Incoming Captains Vs Outgoing Captains” team matchplay tournament.

Starting with the traditional “putt-out” on the 18th green, Tony and Shawn ended their term whilst Mike and Pascale hit their opening tee-shots to a round of applause from a crowd of club members gathered around the 1st tee to mark the start of their term as Club Captains.

The team competition was won by the Outgoing Captains Team who scored a total of 1216 to beat the Incoming Captains Team who scored 1160, marking the 3rd victory for the Outgoing Captains Team who won the Trophy for the first time in 3 years.
